Anand Thakkar is working as Head of TI and Information Security in Africa and Gulf Bank. Anand has 20+ years of work experience in India, UAE and Africa. Anand has worked with ICICI Bank, which is one of the largest private sector bank in India, managing the IT operations for the bank. He led the bank to setup India’s first international BPO to provide services to leading companies such as Marks & Spencer’s, Lloyds TSB etc. Over the past 20+ years of experience, he also had the privilege of working in various verticals such as Banks, Financial Institutions, BPO/KPO, Internet Casinos, FMCG and Oil and Gas. This diverse experience helped in managing IT and Information Security sections, with different thinking hats due to varied complexities and criticality of services.

On personal front, he is married and is a father to a daughter. During his spare time, he loves travelling, trekking, playing and watching sports, reading novels and watching movies.
